Enrico Pieranunzi: Live At Birdland
Grabación realizada por el excelente pianista italiano Enrico Pieranunzi en el club Birdland de Nuea York el 1 de novembre de 2008 en compañia de un grupo que se hacía llamar Latin Jazz Quintet que se completaba con el trompetista Diego Urcola, el saxofonista Yosvany Terry, el contrabajista John Patitucci y el batería Antonio Sánchez. Como no es difícil deducir del nombre de la banda, Pieranunzi ha querido en esta ocasión acercarse al latin jazz a través de una composición de Gianni Valenti (“Talk”), que abre al disco, y seis composiciones propias: “Danza 2”, “Choro del infinito hombre”, “Rosa del mare”, Danza nueva”, “Miradas” y “Tierra nativa”. Un trabajo interessante.
