Fra gli album del pianista romano, questo è il più consapevole e maturo. Proprio così mi sembra debba essere un pianista (jazz) di fine secolo: colto, diplomato in conservatorio, capace di suonare validamente anche l'altra musica, in grado addirittura di scrivere bene. Nitido è il suo tocco, meditate le composizioni, sicura l'improvvisazione. Pieranunzi frantuma di continuo jazz e classica, ed evoca autori vari, ma rimane Pieranunzi. Perfetto.
