The Night Gone By (1996; Alfa Jazz). This features Pieranunzi's trio with Marc Johnson and Paul Motian, and the collective interplay is superbly done. They dig deep into some standards, transforming the innards of "Body And Soul", and giving an exceptionally dynamic reading of "If I Should Lose You". Several of his excellent originals are featured, and the invention of the trio never flags.
